I would first make sure the user is not trying to complete more than one
connection at the same time to get mail. IE a mail program and ICQ for
example can try to check the e-mail at the same time and cause a
problem. If this is not the case make a backup copy of the clients mail
spool and remove the lock file, should be in the same directory, either
$user.lock or lock.$user, I'm not sure one way or the other.
