I am installing Linux RH 6.1. This is the first time I am using the new install interface although I have previously installed 6.0 on this same setup...BX6 rev2...300a>450...128 megs Micron P 100....Seagate ULTRA33 9 GB....Teac 32 sp CD...Matrox PCI Millennium...SB32...CPRO NIC. I have a single EIDE ULTRA33 hard drive Seagate 9 GB. The drive has one 125 meg FAT 16 primary...One Extended with three logical .....a 1 GB FAT32 with 98....a 4 GB NTFS with NT4....a 350 mb FAT16. System commander 4.03 handles the multi boot. At the beginning of the RH install when the partitions screen comes up it sees the partitions correctly and identifies the free space correctly at 3177 MB . I want to create a 3000 MB Linux Native and the rest as a swap but it won't let me create a Native over 2500MB...keeps saying I am out of space. OK so I input 2500 megs and fill disk on the swap. Then I go through the install questions but when it starts to format the partitions it does a spontaneous boot. Norton Disk doctor doesn't report any problems and nor does Partition Magic 5. I have tried creating the Linux Partitions in Partition Magic and then installing but the same thing occurs... Anybody know what is going on ?? thanks Morse -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
