how do i make biff work?

Hello,

I have the following in my /etc/inetd.conf:
comsat  dgram   udp     wait    root    /usr/sbin/tcpd in.comsat

And I set "biff y". Now, when a new email arrives, biff does not alert me,
but I find the following in /var/log/messages:
Feb 13 09:48:11 labhost1 comsat[30032]: '/' in "/dev/pts/2"
Feb 13 09:48:11 labhost1 comsat[30032]: '/' in "/dev/pts/0"

Any suggestions?
