Thanks guys, that did it....
I tried up to /dev/hdc3 and gave up... show's that I shouldn't
give up sooo early.. ;)

Try:
/dev/hdc4 instead of /dev/hdc1
For some reason, the default for a zip disk is the 4th partition.
