Hello:

I have built a kernel but was very unhappy with it's performance so I have
booted back to my originally installed kernel which runs much cleaner and
with less memory. I have the originally running fine but I still need to
make some config changes or at least view them to see that they are
installed. The ones I am specifically looking for are: CONFIG_PCI,
CONFIG_CYCLADES, and CONFIG_SERIAL_NONSTANDARD. The config_pci needs to be
set to yes and the config_cyclades needs to be installed as a module or just
set to yes in kernel config. The config_serial_nonstandard needs to be set
to yes. I want to do these changes yet keep my the rest of my installed
kernel config intact. Since I have rebuilt the kernel and I view the
/usr/src/linux/.config file I am seeing my most recent attempt at a kernel
config. I have backed up my installed kernel but do not know if I am viewing
the actually running kernel .config file. I used the lsmod command to view
my loaded modules and that was the info I was looking for as far as modules.
Now I need to see the kernel config. Is there a command like lsmod to view
what is set to yes and what is set to no. If I start running the make config
file should I assume these are the existing config files for the running
kernel or a previous kernel rebuild.

Thanks in Advance,

Eddie Strohmier
