Hi Indra!

Ok.

First, make your Windows partition with fdisk. Install Windows on this
partition.

Second, run the RH installation software, and use DiskDruid to settle your
Linux partition.

You will need, at least 3 partitions (ok, could be more or could be less,
but three is recommended minimum to begin playing). One is /boot, about 10
MB should be enough. Another is swap, (you do not set a mount point. You
mark the partition type as swap, and system set it up). Make your swap
partition same size as your core (RAM) memory. If you have 128 MB, you may
preffer to make 2 swap partitions, 64 MB each. The rest of the disk may be
used as root partition, which mount point is /. Use the "grow to full disk"
option on DiskDruid.

Now you should be ready to continue!!!

Good luck, have fun, and don't hesitate to ask anything else you may need.
BTW, there is a "redhat-install" list, where guys are more tolerant to
installation and newbies questions.

Regards,

-Manuel.

Hi,

  I have a problem with redhat 6.1 instalation. I have a HD 4.3GB.
I want to use 3 GB for Windows and 1.3GB for Linux. What must I do
in the partition instalation? What I need to type in mount command?
When I choose OK in partition instalation there is a message appear:

No Root Partition

You must assign a root (/) partition to a linux native partition
(ext2) for the install to proses.

What must I do? Can you guide me for this partition?

Best regards,
 Indra mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
