Apache-1.3.9-8 / mod_perl

System=RH6.1 with all the latest updates.

Does the Apache rpm come with mod_perl enabled ?
If not, how is it enabled ?
Does it require getting the Apache source and recompiling or can mod_perl
simply be loaded as a module ?  (if so, how and where ?)

I'm trying to setup a slashdot look-alike and seem to be stuck at this
mod-perl deal.  Any pointers to how-to's are appreciated !
