i used to upgrade it this way ...
i got all RPMS from rh6.1 (you can del kernel*rpms, it is safer)
after this aj execute rpm -Fvh * in directory with RPMS ...
then i fixed manualy some conflicts and dependecies and run rpm -Fvh *
again, until it runs clearly ...
