I have installed RH 6.1 on an Inspiron 7500 128MB and 12 GB
HD without any problems except video. You will need to use
Accelerated-X although I am given to understand that
XFree86-3.3.6 supports the Inspiron's video [ I cannont
personally confirm this! ]. The 15.4 inch 1280 x 1024
screen is fantastic and I will now buy a docking station and
clear out two [one NT and one RH Linux] boxes and just dual
boot this Notebook.
Options include more memory and much larger HD up to 25GB I
believe.
Delivery time was on the order of 6 days post placing the
order at New Years time.
