Can not get man to work

When I type in man XXX I get "No Manual entry for XXX"

I checked in /etc/man.config and all looks good (I think?).  I have a ton of 
man pages under /usr/man.  I have even re-installed man.rpm.  Is there a way 
to get man to work?  

Is there some type of regenerate command?
