I have a ppp configuration hta works fine (as root) if I do a ifup ppp0. It was created in linuxconf, and I selected activate at boot. However, when the machine boots, it attempts to make the ppp connection, but always fails. It will continue to retry and fail until I do a ifdown/fup manually, when it works as expected.
