You can do this by editing your .dir_colors file.
Then you need to run
eval dircolors ~/.dir_colors > ~/colors
this will produce an output like:
LS_COLORS='no=00:fi=00:di=01;34:ln=01;36:or=01;05;31:pi=40;33:so=01
[snip]
export LS_COLORS
Just paste the content of the file in .bash_profile. Run
source ~/.bash_profile
