Redhat Sudo Problem

Hello,

I downloaded sudo-XX.XX.tar.gz (the latest from the web site)

I did

gunzip sudo-xx.xx.tar.gz
tar xvf sudo-xx.xx.tar
cd /somewhere/sudo-XX.XX/

./configure

Why do I get  the following error message

configure:error no aceptable cc found in $path
