Yes & yes :-).  The IP-Masquerade HOWTO is excellent.  I haven't
looked at the Samba documentation setup too much, but by experimenting
with the example config file, I got my wife's windows machine to be
able to print to the printer hooked up to my Linux box.  File sharing
is pretty easy if you're not concerned about passwords and just make
everything public read and/or write.  I haven't looked into passwords
much and just made everything readable but not writeable.
