I have wondered if it was just my install or not...I downloaded,
compiled, and installed the latest amaya myself the other day,
went to freshmeat and found that the page display was so totally
butchered that it was impossible to read/use the page. It
is also rather slow.

Many here have touted Amaya. I've been getting fed up with Netscape
constantly failing. So I went and downloaded and installed the Linux
binary.

I understood that it could act as a browser or as an editor. Well, all it
seems to want to do it be in editor mode, even when I had pushed the button
to put it in browser mode. Yes, the editing function buttons were greyed
out, but it still won't display pages that contain frames correctly.
