Hi,

I am starting to see the following error on two RH6.1 systems:

   errors occured while rotating /var/log/netconf.log

stat of /var/log/netconf.log failed: No such file or directory

However, the ls command shows:

 {john}: ls -l /var/log/netconf*
 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jan 1 04:02 /var/log/netconf.log

So I can't see why it is now complaining. The only 'change' done recently
was that I tightened up the ipchains rules. But then I'd expect it to
fallover with some other error really. Also if I run '/usr/sbin/logrotate
/tmp/lc' (where /tmp/lc is just a small config file to rotate the netconf
logs; taken from /etc/logrotate.conf and /etc/cron.daily/linuxconf) then it
does not show any errors.

Any ideas?

John.
