I am using IP Masq as outlined in the IP Masq HOWTO. Although it used to
work, now when I initiate a PPP connection with the 'defaultroutes' option
I get a log message like "Not setting default route" and none of my masq'ed
machines can ping the outside world. The PPP HOWTO says:

"...your LAN uses a gateway/router already and your routing table has been
set up to point the default route at this. Fixing up this last situation
can require a fair bit of IP networking knowledge and is beyond the scope
of this HOWTO. It is suggested you obtain some expert advice (via the news
groups of from someone locally you can ask)."

Ok experts, how am I supposed to set up networking for a home network (only
dialup access to Internet) where the Linux box has the modem and is
Masq'ing? Does Masq'ing have anything to do with it?

Both 'GATDEV' and 'GATEWAY' are null in /etc/sysconfig/network.

Thanks!
