I have a problem with FTP transfers when using Midnight Commander, between
RH6.1 boxes - it doesn't !
If, using mc, I do "cd ftp://sunsite.doc.ic.ac.uk" for example and then
subsequently do transfers then there is no problem.
However, if I do "cd ftp://another.rh6.1.box" and then try and do transfers
it stops at 100% on the first file - this seems to be a problem with the
chmod or chown that happens at the end of the transfer as the file has been
fully transferred but the ownership and permissions have not been set.
I get the same behavior when I "cd ftp://ftp.redhat.com" - are they also
using 6.1?
I only have this problem between RH6.1 boxes (so far) and it is entirely
repeatable and totally unavoidable!
Has anyone else seen this behavior?
(BTW: I am up to date on errata RPMS)
