>am thinking of getting. I am transitioning from a Windows NT administrator

Don't worry, nobody's perfect! ;)

>Linux in a Nutshell, Second Edition; Siever, Ellen; O'Reilly

According to Linux Journal, this is a "must have".

>Running Linux, Third Edition; Welsh, Matt; O'Reilly & Associates

Really good one.

>Linux Complete; Taylor, Grant; Sybex

I am not at home right now, but if this is my Linux Complete, then it is a
collection of some HOWTO's. You have all them in your computer, but if you
want a printout, it is really nice to have it.

>Linux : The Complete Reference, Third Edition; Petersen, Richard; Osborne

Don't have it. But I have a Linux Complete Command Reference from SAMS, that
is a collection of man pages in a printout form. Again, you have them in
your system, but if you want a printout and an index, this one's for you!

>System Admin Books

Not my topic. I am a Mech. Eng., but I am learning! =)

>Linux Network Administrator's Guide; Kirch, Olaf; O'Reilly

Got this one on your system and CD, along with the System Administration
Guide, and a programmer's guide, and two or three different installation
guides. You can print the docs yourself, read them on line in your system,
or buy the printouts. But you already have them (you may like checking them
out before buying).

One I bought and like a lot is one called "UNIX Secrets". It takes you from
normal user to the next step.
