speaking of imwheel, does anyone know how to config it for
anything other than pageup and pagedown. Maybe like 5 up/down
instead?

the imwheel package will fill in the support for the wheel in
programs
that aren't 'wheel aware'
it can be found in rpm format at rpmfind.net
