I'm using two PIII-550 with 2.2.12-20smp in my system.
I have the *impression* that under Linux smp, once a process is 'given'
to a processor, it will stay with that processor. Note that I have *not*
verified this in the code. It's just an impression.
It is my *understanding* that in other smp solutions (read Warp smp and
NT) the process may be executed by any process that happens to be free
at the moment.
I have gathered this idea by watching my smp system run two instances of
setiathome. I may still be 100% wrong. If so, I'm sure some helpful sole
will enlighten us. :-)
