To all,
I have been trying to find the proper use for the
/etc/ld.so.conf file. When do I make an entry, when is the
file read, and when should I not use it.
The subject comes up because one advisor suggested that I
place $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory in this file as I am having
problems getting Oracle 8.0.5 installed on RH6.0 even with
all the compatibility rpms installed and the glibcpatch
applied.
Anyway, the question is what is '/etc/ld.so.conf' used
for??
