false status of ppp in initscripts when booting

Hi all!

I am having a small frusteration with initscripts-4.63 in the updates section of rh's 
ftp sight. I have my internet interface (ppp0) set to boot at boot time. The 
connection is brought up perfectly, but initscripts says it filed. There's nothing 
wrong with the connection and I can use the net after that, I'm just curious as to why 
this false status is reported.
