Hi all,
I have a few backup questions.
1. I have always used cpio to back up
my data files on my unix system and
it works fine with linux, but I have noticed
everybody seems to post stuff on tar.
Is there a reason tar might be better than
cpio?
2. To make a complete backup I am wondering
if I really need to backup everything after all
I can reinstall everything from the cd, but I
would want all the configuration files so
would it be enough to do /etc, /var, /home
/usr/lib/rhs .
