Hello List Members

I hope someone can help me out on this one. I have upgraded a squid
instalation using squid-2_2_STABLE4-8_i386.rpm on a redhat 5.1 linux
box. I have edited some lines of the squid.config file a tried to
start squid with no success.
The message registered in the log files is the following:
- proxy squid[645]: Squid Parent: child process 651 started
- proxy (squid):Don't run Squid as root, set 'cache_effective_user'!
- proxy squid[645]: Squid Parent: child process 651 exited with
status 1

how do I edit the line cache_effective_user, should I put a nother
user? now it's like this: cache_effective_user nobody nobody

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, it's that I don't have that much
time experience with Linux.

Thanx everyone ...

Best Regards
Michael Gatti
