Let me expand a bit on my previous question. I have a Laserjet 1100
attached to /dev/lp0. Accessing the port directly makes the printer
work, but not through lpr. The printcap entry I have was generated
by printtool and reads

##PRINTTOOL3## LOCAL ljet4 600x600 a4 {} LaserJet4 Default 1
lp:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
        :mx#0:\
        :sh:\
        :lp=/dev/lp0:\
        :if=/var/spool/lpd/lp/filter:

The lpd daemon is running but still nothing happens. I have edited
the filter to output debug messages and none come out. My suspicion
is it never gets executed. Any clues?

Thanks,
Valmir.
