You need to shrink your primary partition to less than 1024
cylinders. You'll need to read the docs that came with PartitionMagic to
do that.

If your drive has enough free space, create a new windows partition near
the end of your free space, and use AppMover to shift as much stuff as you
can to it, thus allowing you to shrink C: to less than 1024. If your C:
drive can't be shrunk to less than 1024, then you need a new hard drive to
install Linux on.
