I haven't setup either the win98 or the samba server as a wins server.  It used
to work and I never bothered to try.

I did try to run the command "smbclient -L -I 10.0.0.1" but it didn't work.  I
thought this would override the name and use the ip address of the win98 box
but the command failed after a long delay with:


gerry@leopard:~ > smbclient  -L -I 10.0.0.1
added interface ip=10.0.0.2 bcast=10.0.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Connection to -I failed
