Hm - I can't verify this statement... I'm using RHL 5.2 at home
("ordinary" dial-up account with IP masquerading) and I'm using sendmail
envelope masquerading as well - and I'm using four different mail
addresses with three different domains, none of which I own. I have yet
to come across a mailing list which would fib at that setup. Could you
maybe name some examples so I might try and see whether my setup could
prove insufficient?

Other than: If I'm not completely mistaken, there should be many *nix
MUAs (Mail User Agents = mail programs) out there which allow you to
change the From: line (e.g. mutt or xfmail). Failing that, there's still
the "Reply-To" line, which might also solve a few problems.

All in all I found the Linux setup to be extremely versatile.

Cheerio,

Thomas
