Unfortunately, the Debian people stubbornly refuse to let go of their
format, even though they are the only ones who support it. I can't say
whether it's better or not, but they seem to think so. Red Hat's not going
to go to deb format files; RPM is there own creation. The Linux Standard
Base project has had a really hard time with this one, since both sides
seem to be adamant.
