zlib-devel -- I don't know why that package needs zlib.so, it should
need zlib.so.1

Look for ssh or openssh on http://www.freshmeat.net. Freshmeat is a
valuable resource when looking for software.

There is an update to the initscripts rpm on the errata site. It should

No, I've got one on back-order. It should install, and be usable just
like a ZIP or LS-120 IDE disk from all that I've heard. Plug it in as
you would any IDE disk, and see if your system recognises it.
