modprobe error

Hi all,
I was looking at my message log and it had alot
of entries like the following
localhost modprobe:can't locate module sound-service-0-3
localhost modprobe: can't locate module sound-slot-0
I don't have sound on this system is there anyway to
keep the system from wasting time looking for it or
logging errors about it.
