3com isdn ta problems

Hi All, newbie here, Do any of you have any insight on setting up pppd with this modem? Linux recognizes it just fine, I set it up with both RP3, and Linuxconf as /dev/ttys0. It connects just fine, but Netscape and Lynx both refuse to acknowledge the connection.  I checked /resolve.conf and it shows the correct DNS for my ISP. I asked RH support and they said that they don't support this type of configuration, but, it would be a good question for the redhat-list.   Stumped, Thanks, Deepseas
