Hello,

I have big problems with an IBM Aptiva equipped with a SiS86c205
graphics card. After a lot of effort I managed to make it work under
redhat versions 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 and 6.0 with corresponding releases of
the XFree86 SVGA driver. It never worked correctly though. After a
while the screen gets corrupted with garbage, making is impossible to
read what is on the screen.

Upgrading to v6.1 with the 3.3.5 version of XFree86 things got even
worse. The screen is snowing, text is shown either black on black or
white on white, the mouse is a large square etc. The only mode usable
is 8 bit with the no_linear option set. Other modes are not supported
without linear addressing.

Note: The Aptiva has an on board graphics card. Part of the main
memory is used as graphics memory.

Any clues, hints, mail address to the driver author, etc.
