| How I can install my printer on RH 6.1 ?
This printer supports some level of PCL, so it is compatible with HP
LaserJets. I don't remember which level, but you can find it
described in the printer's manual. In fact, the manual will tell you
which HP printer it is most like.
I've installed and used an Optra E+ on RH6.0 for 10 minutes of
testing, but I don't remember which printer I specified. I probably
used the control-panel program, selected printer configuration, added
the printer, selecting a filter, and specified HP Laserjet 4/5/6
series (or perhaps HP lj III -- memory fails me).
Your system will be using GhostScript to convert PostScript to printer
commands. You can research which options to GhostScript best exploit
your printer's capabilities. But I think that the HP lj 4/5/6 is good
enough.
