I've just been to the Borland Conference here in Brisbane, Australia. The
project you are thinking of is called Kylix.
They have the Delphi compiler up and running so far but no IDE yet. I think
they are still deciding what toolkit to support with the VCL. They compiled
and run the XGalaga application with it and demoed it running.
But the final product can't be too far off. I was looking at "JBuilder 3
for Solaris" and that was running real sweet on a Red Hat 6 box.
