Your drive was not unmounted when your computer was shut down.  It is
pausing to check the drive for errors in the filesysem. This should
not be happening after EVERY reboot. If it only happens every once in a while,
you should be okay.

Couple of possible causes:
1. you aren't shutting your computer down at all, just turning the power off
2. there's something wrong with your computer shutting down
