Go to http://www.freshmeat.net and look for exim.  Get yourself an rpm
and install it.  Maybe even the http://www.exim.org is working, but I
am not sure.

It took me about 7.5 minutes to install and configure exim, after I
have been trying for about 3 days to configure sendmail.
