I just downloaded the latest source from http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html and followed the directions to compile it as a module. Within five minutes, everything was up and running :) It's nice to see a company giving out its info and providing open source drivers.. The card works rather well now.
