Hi, all!

I am trying to bring up a new server with a DPT SmartRaid V card.
Previously I was able to stick the dpt_i2o.o module onto another floppy,
pause in the install, insmod it by hand (using -force since it isn't from
the BOOT kernel version), and continue on. Now, using the updates disk I
see that the update loader must delete /sbin/loader aka /sbin/insmod from
the ram disk.

The long and the short of it is that it would probably be easier to make a
dd disk (device driver) like RH has on their site. Anyone have any idea
what should go into its config files/how to contruct it? I'm sure that
this would be a technique that would be generally useful to others in a
similar situation. I've worked on it enough so far to know that the dirs
with the additional modules get cpio'd, but don't know for the dpt_i2o.o
module what needs to go into modules.conf, etc.

Thanks.

Terry
