They have a trial version available of the American Heritage
Dictionary for linux. Last time I tried it, it was completely broken
(6-8 months ago), and would not start due to some lib problem. They
said they were aware of this, would fix it, and notify me. Never heard
anything. At that time, it was $49.95 US. (There is also an on-line
version of this like m-w.)
