Greetings all.
I am running redhat 6.0 and normal users sitting at the terminal can't
start X. I have XFree86-3.3.5 installed. root can run X just fine.
Normal users are confronted with:
"Authentication failed - cannot start X server
Perhaps you do not have console ownership?" --pause--
"_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
giving up.
xinit: Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error."
Permissions on /dev/console are "crw-------"
Can anyone help? A search through newsgroup postings including this list
archive didn't turn anything up.
