The problem probably isn't that your computer is slow, it's that
netscape is trying to resolve a name. I haven't determined _exactly_
what the problem is, but in my case, news.eburg.com points to
news.aa.net, which points to huge.aa.net which is the news server.
Netscape _WILL NOT_ resolve this correctly. In order to fix it, I have
to add news to my /etc/hosts file (add to the localhost line) and remove
the .newsrc-news* files in my home directory.
If anyone else has more info, I'd love to hear it. Maybe it's poorly
set up DNS??
