Hello:

I've installed Red Hat 6.1 on a coworkers SONY VIAO PCG-818 notebook.
*NICE NOTEBOOK!* But I can't seem to get the modem working -- I've tried
both /dev/ttyS0 as well as /dev/ttyS1, using the GNOME-based rp3-config
program (the updated version now available on Red Hat's updates
directory). It says a modem is *not* detected.

Yet, a quick search for "sony viao pcg-818 modem linux" on google.com came
up with a page showing that this modem _IS_ supported (but with no other
details).

I'm wondering what trick I need to pull in order to get this to work.

Thanks in advanced.
