Hi!
Thanks for your time.

It appears to work without /boot since
all diskspace is raid:ed and it boots perfectly with
the rh6.1(2.2.12)kernel. The problem
appears when i build a NEW kernel.
THAT kernel won't boot from raid
but the "original" will.

the ramdisk appears to be the solution since it
is "booted" before the real boot and is able
to load raid1.o and other needed modules
before it mounts md0.

I am guessing that the solution is
to:
1. Patch the kernel to 2.2.13 which will enable me to use new
kernel features and 2.2.12 ramdisk(which does the "pre-boot")
or
2. Build a new ramdisk that "pre-boots" and mounts md devices.

Don't know which to choose?
How are these things done?
