Not 100% sure of what you mean, but check /etc/aliases    , see where roots
mail is being sent, you can change it to user@domain instaed of just root
..........   or create a .forward file for root

make sure you run the command                newaliases             as root
if you chnge the aliases file

if the rest of your netork is set ok, this should be all you need to do
