noarch

Does the "noarch" in up2date-1.0.6-1.noarch.rpm mean that it installs on
every supported platform?

I checked the RPM HOWTO and Edward Bailey's Maximum RPM book but did not
see the string "noarch" anywhere defined as a convention.
