The 2.2.x kernels support larger, however, I beleive it's the RH
install that does not yet know how to set it up properly.  Just
do it by hand.

swapoff /dev/hda(#swap)

mkswap /dev/hda(#swap) <# sectors in partition>

swapon /dev/hda(#swap)
