-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- My linux box crashed rather mysteriously today. Sometime between 12:30 and 4:45 it completely froze. xscreensaver was running at the time, and I couldn't switch VC's so I couldn't get much information. I was running kernel-2.1.98 and XFree-3.3.2 (with the latest patch, but that only affects xterm and Xaw, so I doubt that's it). The same thing happened about a month ago, but that was with a different kernel (2.1.??, maybe something in the 80's) and XFree-3.3.1. Any suggestions on how to go about finding more information about the crash is greatly appreciated. P.S. I have process accounting turned on in the kernel, but when I try to use the tools in the RedHat psacct package the output looks corrupted. Does anyone know if the file format has changed for process accounting in the 2.1.x kernels? _________________________________________________________________________ Kevin Mernick [EMAIL PROTECTED] / [EMAIL PROTECTED] "You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after." --J.R.R.
