You ask too much. I would assume, based on what you write, that the terms
"DocumentRoot" and "Location directive" mean little to you. But that's ok.
This is really pretty simple to do. And I'm pretty sure you can figure it
out yourself, if you are pointed in the right direction.
So, the program that serves web pages to you is called Apache, and the
process name is httpd (you should see a number of copies of this when you
run ps). Apache's behaviour is governed by a three simple config files, and
in fact, you can make your life easy by rolling them all into one (itself a
worthwhile exercise). You shall have to edit them, or at least understand
them, in order to achieve what you want to do.
These files live in /etc/httpd/conf. There is online documentation at
http://www.apache.org and no doubt the same material is stored somewhere on
your system. Bear in mind, though, that RH 4.1 is getting a little old. I'm
not sure what version of Apache it includes, but the latest version is
1.2.6. You would do well to fetch and install this version.
Now if there is anything in the documentation that is unclear, just holler
and we'll see if we can clarify the situation for you.
